Ethnic Room

Exhibits show the diversity of man in his many cultures and his commonality in his early ways of surviving and interacting with his environment. The rock paintings of the Bushmen have been dated back to 25000 years and recent genetic studies indicate that the Bushman race may be the direct descendants of the first people on earth. There are exhibits of early and later cultures of Africa, America, Cambodia , China and Japan, Eskimos, and South America. Masks of different peoples adorn the wall of the passage outside this room.
